Friends of Fremont Park in Midtown have teamed up with HOT ITALIAN again to present the HOT LUNCH Concert Series, Thursdays from 11:30 a – 1:00 p for fourteen weeks starting May 31st and running through August 30, 2012. The free music is booked by promoter Jerry Perry and features professional, local talent and new this year, local mobile food vendors including Wicked Wich and Mama Kim's.

June 28 - KB & The Slingtones (honky tonk/rockabilly)

July 5 - The Hot Tar Roofers (bluegrass)

July 12 - Dog Party (pop/punk)

July 19 - Kepi Ghoulie (acoustic rock)

July 26 - The Freebadge Serenaders (banjo/washboard jazz)

Aug 2 - Survival Guide and Gabriella Ruiz (electronic/acoustic)

Aug 9 - Exquisite Corps (indie rock)

Aug 16 - Musical Charis (alternative pop)

Aug 23 - Walking Spanish and Parie Wood (americana/rock)

Aug 30 - Not An Airplane and Honyock (americana/folk)

Call ahead at 444-3000 and order any pizza or grab a HOT LUNCH for $10 (a panini or insalata + a drink, tax included). Area office workers, parents with kids, and students on summer break are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chair. Free bike and scooter parking is available at HOT ITALIAN.

HOT LUNCH is also presented by MetroPCS, SMUD, May Is Bike Month, Midtown Business Association, and Councilmember Rob Fong.
